GETTING TO KAUAI
Kauai's main airport is LIHUE AIRPORT (LIH) - Poipu is a beautiful 25 minute drive from the airport.
Uber, taxis and shuttles are available from the airport. However, once in Poipu there are very few ground transportation options. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND renting a car for grocery shopping, driving to dinner, and being able to explore the island.
WHERE TO STAY
All events will take place in the Poipu area. We have a room block at the Grand Hyatt, and a discount code for Parish Collection Vacation Rentals.
If you want to look at further options, there are several other hotels in the area, along with an abundance of Airbnb's and VRBO's. Please see the frequently asked questions page for a detailed map, along with additional recommendations on where to stay.
Wedding transportation will be provided to and from the Grand Hyatt and Poipu Kai area.
GRAND HYATT KAUAI RESORT & SPA
The Grand Hyatt is Ashley and Mikey's favorite hotel in the world. Located on Shipwreck Beach (where Ashley and Mikey got engaged), you are only steps from the sand. The hotel features lush gardens, breathtaking views, a luxurious spa, a salt water lagoon, and a multilevel pool. The Grand Hyatt is great for kids and adults alike. If you choose to stay here (even if only for a night or 2), you will not regret it.

PARISH COLLECTION
15% discount available from April 25th to May 8th. Use the code "wedding" at checkout. Ocean front homes, and homes in the Elite category are not included. Although anywhere in Poipu will work, we recommend booking in the Poipu Kai area. Please see the frequently asked questions for further information on where to book.
Kaua'i - The Garden Isle
Kauai offers a laid-back, authentic Hawaiian atmosphere compared to its more commercialized counterparts. One of the main reasons to visit Kauai is its breathtaking natural beauty. Called the Garden Isle, Kauai boasts lush greenery, towering waterfalls, and dramatic cliffs that will leave you in awe.
Mikey has been visiting Kauai since he was a kid. It is his favorite place in the world, and he is adamant that it is by far the best Hawaiian Island. If you think otherwise, he will happily tell you why you are wrong. Ashley has frequently inquired about other islands, only to be quickly shut down and told that there is no point in ever visiting them.
Ashley first visited Kauai about 3 years ago, and immediately fell in love. Her and Mikey have been back several times since, and have shared some of their best memories, including their engagement on the island. It is Ashley and Mikey's happy place, their home away from home, and a place that they cannot wait to share with each of you.

WHERE DO WE STAY?
The Bride and Groom will be staying at the Grand Hyatt, and their families will be staying within the Poipu Kai neighborhood. Poipu Kai has a great selection of condo's and homes to choose from. Mikey and Ashley love the area because it is a short walk to their two favorite beaches - Brennekes and Shipwreck.
If you are looking for a big home to share with family or friends, there are great beach front options close to the Beach House Restaurant (our venue), as well as some amazing homes in Kukuiula. Please note that if you choose either of these options, you will need to coordinate your own wedding transportation.
Is there transportation?
No transportation will be provided to or from the welcome party on Friday. Brennecke's is a short walk from anywhere in Poipu Kai. There is a parking lot for those wanting to drive.
Transportation to and from the wedding will be provided from 4 select locations: The Grand Hyatt, Poipu Sands Parking lot, Villas at Poipu Kai parking lot, and Nihi Kai parking lot. Please be ready at the shuttle stops by 3:40.
If you would prefer to drive to the wedding, the Beach House Restaurant has a valet parking lot, and there is street parking.
PARKING FOR WEDDING?
If you would prefer to drive yourself rather than take the shuttle, The Beach House restaurant has valet parking lot, and there is some street parking.
ARE KIDS ALLOWED?
Yes! Kids of all ages are welcome.
Can we come early or stay longer?
Yes! Please do. The Grand Hyatt room block is from April 29th-May 6th and Parish Collection discount is from April 25th-May 8th. The Parish collection has a great collection of homes on the north shore, if you're wanting to check out that side of the island. Staying in the Poipu the night of the wedding is highly recommended.
What in the world is Island Cocktail Attire?
It's hot in Hawaii and there's nothing worse than wearing a full suit in the heat. The board below is what we envision when we say Island Cocktail Attire.
The only thing we ask for the wedding is no shorts or flipflops, please.
